A group of like-minded canine lovers in Green Valley Arizona began to meet in late 2021. 
A steering committee was formed to look into the creation of a GVR Canine Club.  ​​An application was submitted in Feb 2022 to Green Valley Recreation for Club status. 
That application was approved by the GVR Board of Directors on August 24,2022.
